Wedding highlight film editing, cut the way you would cut it

The highlight film is the one couples watch again and again, and the one that sells your next booking. It is also the slowest edit to get right. Here is what goes into one, and how we cut yours.

What a highlight film is

A highlight film tells the story of the whole day in a few minutes: getting ready, the first look, the vows, portraits at golden hour, the speeches, the first dance and the send off. It is where pacing and emotion matter most, and it usually takes the longest to cut, often around eight hours on its own.

Lengths we cut

You choose the length when you get a quote:

• A 60 to 90 second teaser, for social and a quick first look for the couple.
• 3 minutes, a tight highlight film.
• 5 minutes, room for more of the day.
• 8 minutes, a fuller story.
• 12 minutes, close to a short documentary of the day.

Three styles

• Music-led. A music-driven montage, with no spoken audio.
• Dialogue-led. Vows and speech audio woven through the film.
• Signature. A full narrative arc with deep sound design.

How we match your style

Before we cut a single frame, we build a style profile from your past films and your reference edits: how you pace a sequence, where you let a moment breathe, how you grade and how you use sound. The same editors then work on your films every time, so your fifth film feels like your first. The film should feel like your work, because it is.

Timeline and delivery

Your first cut arrives within three weeks of the day your footage lands, or in ten days with the rush add-on. Every edit includes two rounds of revisions. You get back a 4K master plus web-ready versions, and project files on request.
